I don't think this is going to be a good day

I think I'm at the point where I can no longer deny I'm sick. I can only hope it doesn't get worse than this. I can manage all right at this level, scratchy throat and cotton-stuffed head notwithstanding, but more than this would be bad. I'm going to be cranky enough with this degree of "ick" as it is. Of course this happens the one time I can't take time off work and have hundreds of things to get done outside of work.

I hope the mighty zinc lozenge and ginger tea can do their part to pull me through, and I hope I'm not going to make everyone else around me sick. I really don't want to miss out on the things I've planned, and I do have responsibilities I need to meet.

This was so predictable it's almost funny.

That would be almost.

Edited to add: [livejournal.com profile] thevfrchick? [livejournal.com profile] seedmoon? How are you two doing today?

Just remember, more on the ginger, less on the zinc. While zinc is know to improve the immune system, this is only true in the range of 15-20mg PER DAY. Taking zinc lozenges all day and exceeding this dose actually acts as an immune suppresent. Of course no one told you this before, it's not as profitable. On thing i will reccomend is while you're drinking buckets of water (you are drinking buckets of water, right?) put as much lemon juice in it as you can handle. I usually alternate between *super lemon* and faintly lemony. Lemon, of course, is a wonderful anticeptic with vitamin C to boot. Lots of garlic at this time is also highly reccomended, in simple foods. But be aware that garlic doesn't work *nearly* as well as a beveradge.
I'll be capping off my water bottle with lemon as soon as I get home from work.
Stupid cooties.

:(

Just for the record, if our plans need to change tonight so that you can recover (or at least not further dissipate) your strength, that's okay with me -- I know you won't want to change plans, but maintaining your health is important. Whatever you feel is best, I'm fine with.

Hoping the zinc and ginger do their trick...

::hugs::

You probably need to rest.

I escaped the worst of it by staying in, missing stuff,
and resting when I needed to - despite my geminian pull
to find people. It sucks, but it's practical.

Speaking of sucking - the BEST zinc lozenges are the
elderberry Zand kind from Fred Meyer. They rule, and
they're purple, and they're tasty.

awww...hope you feel better soon, cutie!
