Mysterious Post
Hi--
This is
darkmane posting for Mila.
Here is the run down of our day to day.
1) Get up @ 3:30 am (Mila was actually up @ 1 giving her 1 hour of sleep). Mila gets her 1 cup of coffee.
2) Putter around until time to leave @ about 5:30.
3) Mila panics and attempts to hijack our Cavalier for a run to Canada. I awe her with my will power and determination preventing a delay.
4) Distract Mila by giving her words to spell (Thank you Dragon for the tactic).
5) Mila is escorted to the white room about 7:50.
Important note here: Dr. says procedure takes 1 hr, but scheduled 2 to be safe.
6) I program to distract myself (Good news I might get to count that time as work rather than vacation).
7) About 9:50 I see the Dr., Mila is fine but they were not able to do the procedure laproscopically, they had to go through the abdominal wall.
Second Important Note: Mila was panicked about the abdominal surgery 2 months ago, terrified of the effect her being laid up for 6 weeks would have, that everyone would forget who she was. She was greatly relieved that the laproscopic option was available.
8) I worry about Mila until 1:45 when he finds out from the Dr, that 1: She is in recovery, they just need to find a room for her and 2: She seems to have taken the news of the abdominal surgery fairly well (Yeah Morphine Drip!)
9) I get lunch w/
imagefactory, comes back to find Mila is in 977. That was about 4pm.
10) I hang out in Mila's room where I see:
imagefactory,
dragon001,
vulture23 and 2 very nice women I was introduced to but exhaustion has taken it's toll and I have forgotten thier names.
11) I head home about 7:45 or so.

I was exhausted tonight.

I can't visit this weekend due to my trip, but my inquiry and offer about helping with household stuff still stands, even more so with the change in the procedure.
Mila, take it easy and heal well. Sean, take care of *yourself* as well as her.

I'd guess that almost any time after noon will be good for visiting -- Mila has books and CDs (and of course TV), but AFAIK not much else to keep her occupied.
I'm planning on stopping by tomorrow evening, again, hopefully arriving between 7 and 7:30, and will be staying until sometime around 9 or so. I expect that Sean will be there for most of the day...

Hospitals can be, well,
the way they are... and
it was so great to find
Mila surrounded by strength
and warmth.
Hey Mila, just enjoy the
enforced rest, O.K.? You'll
be dancing around soon enough!

Apologies..
Anyway, Mila is going to be home tonight. She will probably be up to recieving visitors soon, and she will want them.
