One of my favourite cats ever was this beautiful black black tortoiseshell named "Sundrop". She knew so many tricks that we would forget what she'd learned until she heard a cue and did her trick. The thing she was best known for was collecting the caps from 16oz bottles of Coke and hoarding them and playing with them, and when I called out "bedtime, Sundrop!" at night, she would gather them one by one onto her side of the bed and come to sleep, wrapped around them.
She is the cat that made me declare that I would never, ever have an indoor/outdoor cat. I took her with me when I moved in briefly with my dad, my grandpa left the screen door open, she got out, and was hit by a car not 5min later. I found out when I got home from work. She was buried with every Coke cap I could find and her favourite blankie.
