Brief fashion rant

I just saw a print ad for the new "Bachelor" show and out of 25 women, 22 have the same haircut. I suspect it's actually 23 because one of the standouts may just have her hair back.

And what is the deal with Debra Messing? Why is she in so many magazines? No matter what she's wearing, who designed it or how expensive it was, she always looks relentlessly ordinary. So much for glamour...

Notes on phones:

I fear them. I know I'm not alone on this one. The lower my emotions sink, the harder it is for me to get on one and call anyone, even though that may be what I need. I find it much harder to communicate with people without visual cues, and I often feel as though I can't communicate to them through the phone. Add to that the assortment of calls coming in from MCI, Sprint, et al, along with calls from people I can't get rid of (no one on LJ, I assure you! A friend from childhood is one, plus a friend I know from Dallas whom I adore and who is very interesting, but who keeps me for hours because I can't say I need to get off the phone and make it stick). These things result in much screening of calls.

However--those who call us here at Rancho Gato will have their calls answered in person if at all possible if they hit the # sign to bypass the long message. (I need to rerecord the damn thing, I'm so tired of listening to it anyway.)
