What a funny morning
Nov. 30th, 2003 02:23 pmIt was mostly good. I was in the best voice I've been in since joining the choir, and although we didn't have a soprano section leader today, Sheila commented that our section was sounding really good. Then I got permission to miss rehearsal on Thursday and still sing Sunday as long as I practice at home, so now I can go to my Women's Group Christmas party and maybe Art Walk, depending on timing. However, people seemed a little out of sync this morning--we had a ragged beginning to one song and Sheila forgot about our last piece and went straight to the postlude (much consternation and giggling amongst the choir at that one). At least it wasn't a complicated piece we'd been rehearsing for weeks.
I did catch a bit of a nap, and now must be off to eat a bit. I'm 36; I should be able to manage to get a full meal before 3:00 in the afternoon, but lately that's not been happening. I guess that's a good goal for the week, eh?
