...and makes you make 5 LJ posts in one day. Yikes.

Anyway, to recap--I decided to run by Planet Halloween and then go back for the wine and hors d'oeuvres. P.H. may be cheesy, but I got almost everything we still needed there. Then I went back and had fun with the art show staff. Then I went by Northgate Mall and finished my Halloween shopping. I didn't find flame hair clips, but I found something even better--a flame necklace on a red collar. Very "bat out of hell," if I do say so myself. So--Halloween is done! Woo hoo!

Then I came home to find 1) a $15 coupon for Express, 2) my paycheck (woo hoo!) and 3) my skirt from Ebay. Not only is it adorable, it fits perfectly--which means I'm an inch smaller in the waist than I thought I was. Hey, these things make a difference in the self-image department. Plus now I know what size I should be buying off Ebay. ;-)

Soon I shall be off for the evening. If it goes as well as the rest of the day, I shall be content indeed.

Somehow it just seems *wrong* that someone as tiny as you should be concerned about your waist size. :P

I *still* haven't found the ribbon I need for my costume for tomorrow night -- Michael's and Lynnwood Hancock both had only that same too-light shade of red. I'll be stopping by Pacific tonight, but if *they* don't have anything else.... then I guess I'll just have to use that red. Is there really so little demand for wide ribbon in colors other than bright red??

Somehow I *knew* I was going to get a comment like that! ;-P Bear in mind that I bought the skirt thinking I'd have to juryrig the waistband to be able to wear it, and it was a happy surprise to find out that I won't.

You know, for your ribbon you might try a Christmas store or Christmas section at a major store. Dark red (I assume that's what you're looking for?) has been pretty trendy for several years for Christmas, so your chances might be better there. Good luck...!

Possibly, but Xmess decoration ribbon tends to be the stiff papery kind, and I need something soft and fabric-y. If I have time I'll check that out, though...
