Whine, bitch, moan...
Oct. 1st, 2002 12:05 amEver have a day that you expect to be unpleasant and it exceeds your expectations? I just did...
To begin with, I was at work till 7:30. The original plan was that on newsletter days I'd work 4 1/2 hours. Today I worked 8 1/2 hours. And I could have stayed longer had I wanted...;-) (I realize that to those with full-time jobs this doesn't sound so bad, but since I've been working part-time, this has become a bit of a strain.) So there were the usual problems--no information for me to put in the newsletter till 1:00, printer problems that required calling out for help, various Punisher--oops, Publisher issues. Okay, nothing unexpected.
BUT. I checked voice mail while I was taking a break and realized that I either need to check it more often or not at all. Seems one of my cat-sitting clients is in the hospital and his brother and a friend were trying to reach me over the weekend and I never checked the machine! Well, Craig is okay ("shattered his elbow" racing motorcycles, his big pasttime, so that sucks, but is not life-threatening, thank god). And Sunny the kitty is okay, because other people were able to look in on him. But it was heart-attack time there for a bit, plus trying to get by to check on Sunny tonight was a challenge.
Well, challenges met, I'm home, and now I have to get some pics up on our proto-website for Leeny's friend the photographer. I'll be putting the link up here too, once it finally gets done.
Sleep? Ha.
