Newsletter Day

The day where I wake up thinking, "Should I kill myself now, or wait till later and see who I can take with me?" Okay, that may not be funny to everyone. But it is the kind of humor that sprouts around here on newsletter day, and I'm not kidding--!

So it's after noon, and I've been here since 10:30 (fortified with my double tall almond latte) and I'm just now getting the information to put in the darn thing. An extra four hours of work? Heh. Last month I think it was 8 1/2. The extra pay is nice, but my usual Monday off is nicer. Oh well--forging onward.

Killing yourself is not the answer.

Killing other people, however, might be.

I promised myself years ago that if I really decided to kill myself, as opposed to the 50 Viodin incident where I'm not sure what I was doing, that I'd take out an Operation Rescue meeting or a Klan gathering or some such other group with me.

You'll get through this. Just take a deep breath and walk away from the computer when you start to feel frustrated. In the end it's not worth stressing yourself over.

No no no! I meant *my* sarcasm. And I'm serious--only my sick sense of humor makes this fun at all. Apparently I can find entertainment in the unlikeliest of places--and fortunately the people I work with are the same way. We laugh at all sorts of twisted things by the end of newsletter day.

Although by the end of the day your advice will be needed--that's when I do get pretty frustrated.

It seems to be going all right at this point--but I realize that's just the setup for the punch line. :-P
