I seem to be getting a reputation around here as someone who can fix things. This is new.

But the more people expect me to be mechanically inclined, it seems the more I am. So it's all good.

And if you need a bulb changed on an overhead projector, I'm your gal.

It amazes me, how little effort some people seem to be willing to put into figuring out how something works. I have long gotten stuck with the "fix-it" rep, and it really seems to have less to do with any mechanical aptitude than it does with just being willing to look at something, maybe read any available directions/documentation, and *think* about how all the parts fit together.

But hey, next time I've got an overhead projector with a burned-out bulb, I'll give you a call. ;)

I've already been fixed.

This is a good thing (although you may not agree).

Though it is kind of amusing that the vet takes something that works just fine and makes it *stop* working, and then calls this "fixed" ....

Maybe it's in the colloquial sense of, "I'll fix you!"?
