I do not have to like everything a person does to still like that person. I can be uncomfortable and still cope. I can be angry without giving up on a friendship. Although the possibilities for misunderstanding may seem endless, I can keep hoping.

I'm not sure what you're referring to (and I don't need to know, quite frankly), but seriously: Do what you need to to be true to your best self. You needn't justify being a steadfast friend, nor a person who can care despite difficulties. Just be sure to be as loving and thoughtful of YOURSELF as well.

Nothing wrong with recognizing someone's faults and still caring about them. In fact, that's much healthier than pretending those faults don't exist. Just take precautions that their faults don't drag *you* down as well. (I know you know this, so this is just friendly encouragement. :) )
