1st week of the month
Nov. 12th, 2002 11:38 pmIt's rapidly becoming my least favorite week, due to the Shoreline UU Board meeting.
I don't know really why I dread this meeting so--except that it's very long (usually 7-10 p.m.), falls on Wednesday night which is not good for my usual social plans, and is generally tremendously tedious. The only time it's not tedious is when there's some emergency. :-/ I'm also finding that being secretary feels like a lot of pressure, although I'm not sure that's actually reality and not just my perception. I think I'm getting pretty burned out on this.
Thursday is when the SUUC women's spirituality group meets. Although it's become more of a support/conversation group over the last year or so. I love this group, but I only make it to about half the meetings (if that) because I'm so drained by the board meeting. I am looking forward to the middle of next year when my 3-year term is over. Honestly, if anyone had managed to mention to me it was a 3-year term I wouldn't have signed on. Oh well...
Friday night is the Scorpio birthday party at the Vogue that Dragon has insisted that Sean attend (as he is a Scorpio--Nov. 21). He has kindly invited me as well. ;-) This will be an interesting exercise in logistics, as Sean will undoubtedly be ready to go home before I, probably about midnight, necessitating us taking two cars or my running him home before returning to the Vogue or going on to the Merc.
Saturday is the Scotch tasting at C-Ko's, an event not to be missed. Although I plan to drink less Scotch in the early parts of the evening so that I am able to enjoy Scotches that appear later in the night. And avoid the hangover from the last Scotch tasting. :-P Note: Remember to buy Scotch!
Sunday Sean has his game, probably in Tacoma. There won't be a choir rehearsal, which at this point is probably a good thing. I think I have Sunday day-plans, but nothing's been confirmed as of yet.
Oh, and tomorrow I start cat-sitting for my client in Sand Point.
I accidentally typed "oy" just then instead of "oh." I think that is more appropriate and a good way to end this post. Oy.

Date: 2002-11-13 06:56 am (UTC)I may make it to the scotch party, not sure yet. At any rate, I have a sample of Ultimate cream for you, and Avon books. Do you need anything else?

Date: 2002-11-13 09:52 am (UTC)Is the Ultimate the one that's replacing Luminosity? If it is, and you have a full-size one, bring it along too. :-) Also, does Avon still make Eye Block SPF 15 and On Everybody's Lips(AHA lip stuff)? They last forever (can you tell?) but I'm almost out of both. Any similar product would be cool too.
I hope you make it out not just for Avon, but so we can actually converse!

Date: 2002-11-13 10:45 am (UTC)Still not sure what I'm doing Saturday -- the scotch tasting sounds like a fun event, except that scotch isn't particularly to my tastes. It's tempting to see about hanging out just for social reasons, though. But I may be taking someone out for a belated birthday dinner that evening -- still need to firm up details on that. And of course Sunday needs to be figured out too.
As for the cat-sitting... hopefully this new client won't require an enema, but at least you know how should the need arise. ;)

Date: 2002-11-13 10:50 am (UTC)Of course this will necessitate my remaining sober enough to drive. Although I'm a tad less enamored with Scotch after the last tasting, so this may be easier than it sounds. ;-)
