I hate Ebay

More specifically, I hate the people who swoop down at the end of auction and outbid everyone else.

I may just go to Magickal Gardaen sometime (even if it is in Lynnwood) and try to find a similar top.

That said, I wish I could Ebay while at the board meeting. Or knit, but I don't know how to knit. I tried doing needlepoint there for a while, but it seemed too obvious.

Y'know... while I haven't seen exactly that fabric, I'm sure that Jay could quite easily replicate that, in something that *would* be exactly your size. And probably for pretty much that same price range. You'd just have to get a word in with her before she gets completely booked up by Jilli and Alexia...

That is certainly a thought. Part of me says I ought to make it myself, but unfortunately I'm not at the point where I can make things without patterns and I've certainly never seen one like that. Finding the fabric is going to be another issue. I've never found it myself, but Jay probably has her sources. ;-)

By the way, I showed Jay that auction last night, and she said that the design itself would be easy, and she thought she could improve on it too (especially the back). Finding the fabric, again, is the hard part, but she can keep an eye out for it, or something similar. So, feel free to email her about it -- if you're serious about wanting this, the sooner the better, because Jilli and Alexia both *do* have plans to keep Jay busy for a while...

If I can't "Buy It Now", then I am one of those evil people that bid at the last minute only. I don't want to drive the auction price up by bidding early.

This I understand--it's why my last bid went in with 1 minute/43 seconds left. It was being outbid at that point that made me cranky! ;-)
