Mila's surgery time tomorrow:
7:50 a.m.

The ugly part is that means I have to check in at (gasp) 5:50. Gack.

The good part is that if anyone wants to pop by Virginia Mason Hospital, figure out what room I'm in, and visit *cough*hint*cough*, maybe I'll be coherent by evening.

What's your full name sweetheart. :) I'd love to *cough*visit*cough*! I might bring a couple of my own coughs but nothing too bad. :)

Ack! That's bloody early to be awake. My sympathies. (Heh, though really, waking up early is nothing compared to having one's guts sliced up, so we should keep perspective here...)

As I've mentioned several times, I'm gonna head down there after work, and I know of a number of other people who want to visit as well (notably Jay, Kristin, and Lesley [bellatrx]), so hopefully we'll be able to keep you distracted for most of the evening, at least until they kick us out. :)

Well, at least you'll get to go back to sleep soon after you get there. eheh. eh.. ;-)
Relax, Lady Cobweb, I'm betting things will go just fine. They do this stuff all the time. You'll be in good hands, with good people thinking good thoughts your way, and lots of warm loving hands to hold when you wake up. Here's to fixing this thing that's been bugging you so much all this time! :-)

Oh no... there goes the sheer challenge
of finding you without knowing your full
name. Hee hee. Thinking of you.

Good thoughts for you. I'm sure all will go well. I doubt I'll be able to visit due to out-of-townism and other commitments, but I'll be thinking of you.

Are you guys okay for help at home while you're recuperating? I would be happy to pitch in with the odd task here and there if not.

Just think, by this time next week it will all be behind you. Then you get to have all of us wait on you hand and foot. So if you need something you had better holler!!! Like a dinner or a trip to the store or anything.
*hugs*

Just to let everyone know, I just got a call from [livejournal.com profile] darkmane. (I'm posting this here so that all of Mila's friends can see it, and will be posting to Seagoth as well.) Mila just got out of surgery, and will be in recovery for another hour or two before they are moved to a room. I'll probably post a room number once they get it. Anyone who has my cell phone number (which is located here for those on my friends list) is welcome to call me for updates, or you can IM me (MSN - nekhbet23@hotmail.com, ICQ - 61138722).

Apparently they were not able to do the procedure laparoscopically after all, so recovery time is probably going to be about a week longer than she'd been expecting. There's still no change to the planned release from the hospital tomorrow, though, and everything seems to be going pretty well. Further updates will be posted as I get them.

Argh. I'm leaving for Canada pretty quick here, or else i'd come and visit. When is the actual release date, if i'm back before they let you out, i'll definitely stop by.

(Also posted in my own LJ, and on the Seagoth board)

I just got off the phone with Mila. She's in Virginia Mason hospital, room #977, and she's conscious but fairly doped up. Visitors are welcome (visiting hours should to until 8pm tonight), though she makes no guarantee of any level of coherence or consciousness. ;) Because the laparoscopic procedure wouldn't work, and they had to open the abdominal wall instead, they'll be keeping her a day longer than originally planned, so she should still be in the hospital tomorrow night as well, and get released on Saturday.

Blessings to you and very speedy recovery ....
