Mila's surgery time tomorrow:
The ugly part is that means I have to check in at (gasp) 5:50. Gack.
The good part is that if anyone wants to pop by Virginia Mason Hospital, figure out what room I'm in, and visit *cough*hint*cough*, maybe I'll be coherent by evening.

Date: 2003-03-05 03:49 pm (UTC)As I've mentioned several times, I'm gonna head down there after work, and I know of a number of other people who want to visit as well (notably Jay, Kristin, and Lesley [bellatrx]), so hopefully we'll be able to keep you distracted for most of the evening, at least until they kick us out. :)

Relax, Lady Cobweb, I'm betting things will go just fine. They do this stuff all the time. You'll be in good hands, with good people thinking good thoughts your way, and lots of warm loving hands to hold when you wake up. Here's to fixing this thing that's been bugging you so much all this time! :-)

Date: 2003-03-06 10:38 am (UTC)Apparently they were not able to do the procedure laparoscopically after all, so recovery time is probably going to be about a week longer than she'd been expecting. There's still no change to the planned release from the hospital tomorrow, though, and everything seems to be going pretty well. Further updates will be posted as I get them.

I just got off the phone with Mila. She's in Virginia Mason hospital, room #977, and she's conscious but fairly doped up. Visitors are welcome (visiting hours should to until 8pm tonight), though she makes no guarantee of any level of coherence or consciousness. ;) Because the laparoscopic procedure wouldn't work, and they had to open the abdominal wall instead, they'll be keeping her a day longer than originally planned, so she should still be in the hospital tomorrow night as well, and get released on Saturday.
