So far today, LJ, Hotmail, Windows, and Word have had "issues." For my part, I somehow corrupted a Word file so badly that it locks up the whole program, but I don't know what I did or see any evidence of anything.

I believe it is Mercury retrograde right now. Things like this are supposed to happen during Mercury retrograde. At least it's better to believe that than to worry about giant sunspot flare-ups (although that is my favorite explanation for machinery that goes awry) or magnetic smart bombs detonating in space.

What was that?

Microsoft purchased some additional bandwidth from AT&T... While setting it up AT&T screwed up the routing tables knocking out MSN, Hotmail and Microsoft for an hour or so yesterday about noon.

And LJ's problems were strictly due to their own database issues, I think. Well, the sunspot theory sounded good, anyhow. ;)

Maybe sunspots made Microsoft buy bandwidth from AT&T? (This would been a past sunspot storm, of course.)
