do you by chance know what was transpiring with the moon last night? the stars seemed much clearer and the moon much larger and orange in color. it was amazing.
Wow, I missed that. :-( I don't know if that's related to the time of year or not. Maybe the unusual clear weather? Somebody scientific help me out here! ;-)
A colored moon is the result of stuff in the air -- pollution, generally. (Sometimes dust, smoke, or ash, but usually just air pollution) It's the same thing that produces really bright sunsets, too.
As far as it seeming larger... it does normally seem larger when near the horizon, where there's something nearby for contrast. It may also just be that last night was particularly clear and haze-less.
I usually hate Mercury retrograde--it feels like everything goes wrong and I'm continually frustrated. But this one is working for me. I really am getting to projects I've put off forever (like decorating the apartment) and it doesn't feel hard at all to do it, and lost things *are* turning up. I think this is a very good time for me to retrench and consolidate.
