Friendly telemarketer season

m_cobwebThe phone rings. I answer it in the usual fashion: "Edmonds Unitarian Church." The nice *coff* gentleman on the other end says, "You're a church? You're going to hang up on me, you ignorant bastard."
Curious, I pause for a moment, then say, "No, I'm going to wait and hear what you have to say." Then he hangs up on me.
Boss Barbara says these are getting common around here. Unfortunately, you can't *69 them because the numbers are blocked. Ah well.
It wasn't as good as the obscene phone call I got at work once many years ago, but close.
Curious, I pause for a moment, then say, "No, I'm going to wait and hear what you have to say." Then he hangs up on me.
